It comes in threes – Frogs, Hooks and River Wolves (alligator). Johnny Martinez of johnnyonthefly.com made Capt. Steve 3 special frogs. During the night of Bass fishing, 3 frogs became 2. One little froggy was eaten by a backcountry River Wolf. Put yourself in the moment, night time, no moon, just you and a fly rod with a topwater frog fly. First cast into the night, your frog fly lands on the water with a thud and splash! Then all HELL breaks loose. It happened so fast. A tight line and bent fly rod. Then NOTHING. After putting my HEART back in my chest. Pulling the fly line in, I found my poor frog with no HOOK. Time to call it a night. Would you?
