Mudfish Adventures Fishing Report – June 9, 2019

Capt. Steve’s report for the week of June 9, 2019. This week the water temperature was 80-85 degrees. There were bluebird sky’s on Toledo Bend Lake, Texas. Air temps 85 degrees. Fly Fishing for Bass has been more productive in the evenings. He’s been using topwater poppers/ frog fly’s and the Wiggle Fish Fly manufactured by Bruce Sublett of Gulf and Ozark Flies in Lufkin, Texas. The backcountry has slightly stained water and is producing most of the bites. Lots of small bass with 1 of 6 being keepers. Main lake water is very clear with slight to no wind with few bass bites. Rule of thumb, go back to wherever the Bass were biting. On a slow scouting day he picks up the camera. Enjoy the pictures and every day on the water!
